Weather Update

First Baptist Waxahachie gym is available for a warming station, as long as space is available, for those needing relief from the cold. Bring pillows and blankets. Unfortunately, we are not set up to provide food, supplies, or accommodate pets. Mask wearing and distancing will provide a safe break from the extreme cold.
If you need a place or know of others who don’t have access to a warm place to charge your phone, please share the warmth.
Sure missed seeing everyone in person this week. Hopefully, you are staying warm at home.  If you’ve not watched the online service, it is available online HERE. Please watch, and share with your friends.

There are several things you need to know for this week.
First, your staff is working from home when possible. However, the power outages make it difficult to predict accessibility. Please don’t hesitate to call the office at 972-937-1940 or email [email protected] if you have questions or needs. We are able to answer the telephone remotely, most of the time.

Second, we are specifically interested to know if you are aware of people who have legitimate basic needs during these challenging times. Also, if you are available to help with a 4-wheel drive vehicle, blankets, or heaters, please let us know.

It is so encouraging to hear how our FBC family is responding to needs, continuing to make a difference in countless lives.

We’ve been contacted by Waxahachie Emergency Management inquiring if our Gym could be available for those who don’t have electricity. Our Deacon and safety teams are on standby until the specific need is determined. Thank you, Lord, for those who continue to minister and serve during difficult times.
Finally, because of the current hazardous weather conditions and no immediate relief in the forecast, it is necessary to cancel all on-campus activities for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Please help us stay in contact with those who do not have internet access, and make us aware as needs arise.
We look forward to seeing you Sunday morning at the normal online and in-person times.
It is a blessing to serve with you!
