Make a Difference

We all long to make a difference. Our teams are a great place to use your God-given skills, abilities, and passions to help others along in their journey.

Serve at FBC

Kids

Our Adventure Kids ministry offers programming for all kids ages 0-5th grade. This growing ministry is always in need of willing volunteers to teach, assist, facilitate, and even just play. All volunteers must pass a background check. If you are interested in serving on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, or even special events, click the Sign Up to Serve button below.

Students

If you are looking for a place to serve, First Students may be for you. First Students provides our 6th-12th graders an opportunity to worship, learn, and grow in a fun and safe environment. There is always a need for volunteers to invest in this incredible group of young people. If you aren’t ready to lead, don’t worry. We also need help with special events, small groups, and more. If you’re interested in serving with this group, click the Sign Up to Serve button below.

First Impressions

Create a friendly and welcoming environment for guests by offering a sincere greeting and acknowledging each guest as they arrive at FBC. You may hold open doors, join the parking lot crew, direct guests to Guest Central, manage guest inquiries at Guest Central, or offer tours of the building.

Care

The Care Team encompasses several groups at FBC. The First Ministry Team sends cards and gifts to sick, hospitalized, grieving and home-bound members. Our Prayer Warriors distribute prayer requests received by members of our church.

Media

The Media Team plays a vital role in ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to hear and see everything they need to on Sunday morning! Help us manage production during weekly ministry events including audio, video and lighting elements. Serving on this team may mean taking videos during worship, helping to stream the sermon to Facebook or YouTube, or helping with microphones and speakers during service.

Worship

Faith makes the heart sing; it gives the soul the freedom to soar to the heights of joy.  It makes a Christian want to “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” Now is the time to give your faith a melody that other people can hear. You can become a part of the church music ministry and develop your ability to give expression to your faith through music. It’s simple, and the rewards are great to you and to others.

SOS

Sharing our Service (SOS) of First Baptist Church Waxahachie is making a difference in our community by doing acts of service. Anything from changing light bulbs or smoke alarm batteries, cutting back shrubs, mowing, household chores, or any other small job, the SOS team is ready to help.
